Geographically, AHISD is one of the smallest school districts in the state, covering only 9.4 square miles. The district serves students from the communities of Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, Olmos Park, and a portion of North San Antonio. Alamo Heights ISD has five schools that are part of its district, 1 preschool, 2, elementary school, 1 middle school, and 1 hight school.
About the Cambridge Elementary School
The First School in Alamo Height School District was a one room school house that was built on the property of Cambridge in 1909. In 1912 a new school was built on the property as what we know as the Cambridge today.
