Standard 1:Teachers demonstrate mastery of and pedagogical expertise in the content they teach

Element B: Teachers develop and implement lessons that connect to a variety of content areas/disciplines anemphasize literacy and mathematical practices.  

Rationale: I think working with other teachers in other content areas is so important. Finding ways to use their strengths and my strengths to create a cohesive lesson.

Reflection: I used the lesson that I did with two other teachers from 450, one was Science, and the other was English. We created a lesson that had a theme, which was the pandemic. We felt like it was really relevant for the times that we are in right now in the year 2020. We wanted to look at all the past pandemics and how it affected the communities and cultures. 

Element C: Teachers demonstrate knowledge of the content, central concepts, inquiry, appropriate evidence-based instructional practices, and specialized characteristics of the disciplines being taught.

Rationale: Throughout the course of 450, I have held up to this standard of my knowledge of my content area. Even though I know a lot about my content, I will always and continuing to be learning more about my content and my skills as a teacher. 

Reflection: I choose this lesson plan below because I think it reflect how much I know about the elements of art.  As one of the teachers teaching the lesson, I wanted make sure the students had a better understanding of the elements to bring to their projects. Overall, I will be learning constantly from my future students but also all the practice I have as a future teacher.
