My Personal Work
Artists Statement
As an artist the process of art is very important to me. My concentration at Colorado State University was pottery and fibers. Weaving, crocheting, and sewing are some of favorite things about fibers and I tend to do a lot of that into my personal work. Clay is my other love, and I love creating sculpture and other non functional sculpture. I consider myself more of a 3D artist, but I also do like drawing and creating large figure drawings. Nature is something I take a lot of my inspiration from, I love hiking, biking, and being in the outdoors. When you see my work I take a lot of snapshots of what I have discovered during my adventures. Trees and growth of vines are implemented in my work because of the movement that they create. Texture and movement are very important to me and I try to add that into my work as much as possible
