My name is Lydia Carr, and I am a Art Education Major with a  concentration in Pottery. I had the opportunity of being at Boltz Middle School for spring of 2020, even though we did not get to finish out the semester in the school due to COVID-19, it was still a great experience. I had the pleasure of working with Linda Williams who was my professor for this 350 section. She a wonderful teacher and you can tell she cares a lot about her students. While I was at Boltz I work in Ms. Gentry and with Ms. Hesse. I was placed in the 6th grade special education push english class. Ms. Gentry taught the english class and Ms. Hesse taught the 8 students of the special education class. It was such a joy to work with those 8 student specially, they were just a fun bunch to work with, and it really gave me a purpose of why I wanted to be teacher. I was not placed into my content area because they did not have art first period, but I think it all worked out for the better.
